We know that we have mentioned it multiple times, but one of our favorite things about our job as video creators is the ability to get an inside look at so many different professions and industries.
For almost two years now we have had an inside look at the industry of custom home builds here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Our friend Luke Mann at Rangeline Homes builds incredible homes on top of the mountains in the Colorado front range. We have been producing a Youtube series called "Building in the Foothills" which is following one of their newest builds in Evergreen, Colorado. Throughout the process we have had the opportunity to learn how homes are built in such a unique place at 8,000+ feet of elevation. We have captured excavation, steel work, concrete work, roofing, framing, heating, window installation, and so many other steps that take place to make everything perfect for their clients.
Last week the team was installing a two and a half ton swim spa next to the master bedroom. There wasn't a huge space to fit this thing into, and as spectators with cameras in our hands, we certainly had our doubts. As the crane boomed high above the trees to swing the spa perfectly into place while avoiding the roof and walls of the home, I realized how amazing it is to see so many professionals working together to complete the task. From the spa installer and crane operator to the Rangeline team behind the planning and precision needed to make this work, everyone was on their A-game.
Telling the story of this day at the site will also take our professional skills at Homefield Productions. Flying the drone high above the crane's arm, capturing the perfect angle to show how small the margin for error was. This was as exciting of a drone flight as we have had in a while. Our crew was also on the ground capturing visuals of the guys guiding the spa into place, along with covering all the audio of the day. Our next step will be to take it into Premiere Pro, our video editing software, to piece together every part of the excitement.
It's all just another day doing what we love, producing excellent visuals and telling your story.
